Passive Ethernet Monitor Cards
ImageStream's passive ethernet monitor
cards include a four-port 10/100 UTP ethernet monitor
card, a four-port 10/100/1000 UTP ethernet monitor card,
and a four-port fiber ethernet monitor card. Each four-port
card is designed for use with the associated passive
ethernet tap, and each card has enough ports to monitor
two full-duplex ethernet segments.
The 10/100 and the 10/100/1000 ethernet monitor cards
are 32/64-bit 33/66 MHz PCI cards with four ports. Standard
Category 5 cabling and RJ45 connectors are used to connect
the 10/100 and the 10/100/1000 monitor cards to their
respective taps.
The four-port gigabit fiber card is a 32/64-bit 33/66
MHz PCI card that provides modular transceivers for
single mode and multimode applications. Each port can
be configured with a different transceiver for multimode
fiber (1000Base-SX) and single mode fiber (1000Base-LX),
as well as LC, VF-45, or MT-RJ connectors. These physical
interface options require different fiber optic cabling
configurations to connect the fiber tap to the monitor
card.
