Telogic SS7 Protocol Analyzer Ver 1.5 Technical Specification

Telogic Monitoring Server and Application Gateway Module

For the PCI and CompactPCI® based system, additional cards can be installed to increase the capacity.
Each monitoring server can be chained through the rack through Ethernet LAN.
ITU-T G.703 2Mbits/s Physical Interface.
Support D4, E1, E1-CRC4, ESF frame format.
Support HDB3, AMI(ZCS), AMI, B8ZS.
PCR Suppression enables you to filter out repeated MSUs in order to obtain the exact message without duplication.
Monitoring server supports various leading SS7 DSP hardware modules.
Support simultaneous multiple client application.
Support long duration SS7 message logging for post analysis.
Support NTP for time synchronization for multiple remote SS7 Monitor Servers.

Telogic Client Applications

Circuit-related Protocol Analysis: ISUP, TUP.
Non-circuit related Protocol Analysis: SNM, SNT, SCCP, TCAP, MAP, INAP (GSM, intelligent network).
WinNT/2000 Support.
User Friendly Graphical User Interface.
Signaling Link measurements (e.g., Out of Sync, Out of Service, Processor Outage, etc.).
Real-time and Historical call trace

i) Real-Time Call Trace of up to 100 called/calling number combination.

ii) Historical Call Trace based on playback mode supported by SS7 message logging feature.

Call Trace Correlation (The system will group the complete ISUP message of the same call for display).
MAP Transaction Correlation ( The system will group the entire MAP transaction sequence of the same MAP operation for display).
Data collection
  i) Decode and analysis for "freeze" window of raw data.
ii) Recording of all SS7 messages, traffic data, in real-time up to 100% MSU occupancy.
Flexible Filtering:

i) Filtering (i.e., Real-time and Post capture filter messages that are of interest to the user such as SIO,
ACN, SSN, CIC, OPC, DPC, ANI, DNIS, MSISDN, MSRN, IMSI, Calling/Called Party Address, Operation
             Code.

ii) Protocol Analysis (Messages are timed stamped and able to be decoded for further analysis).
Optional Features

  • Database server connection to SS7 monitoring server.
  • Real-time generation of CDRs for all call attempts.
  • Real-time generation of TDRs for all MAP transactions.
  • Real-time generation of alarms for Long Call/Short Call duration, LSSU alarm, ASR alarm, Signaling Erlang alarm.
  • Web-Report Module: Network and Business-oriented applications (Traffic engineering, Operation Maintenance, Interconnection Arbitration, Mobile Roamer QoS, SMS Billing, targeted marketing studies such as Roamer Profile etc)
